Before buying a home, knowing what features you want in your future
subdivision is important. Some homebuyers prefer urban living with easy
access to area beaches, schools, shopping and restaurants. Others favor
living in gated communities, with single family homes, pools, tennis courts
and golf courses. Growing families, on the other hand, may want sprawling
spacious homes and neighborhoods with safe streets and lots of parks and
open space. Outdoor enthusiasts prefer neighborhoods with easy access to
recreational facilities, beautiful tree-lined streets, golf courses and a
host of neighborhood playgrounds and sports fields.
Golf Course Communities

Living on a golf course is something that golfing
enthusiasts dream about. Golfing communities in Sarasota, offer a
relaxing atmosphere for those with refined tastes. Some of the benefits
of living on a golf course include:
Accessibility: Living right on a golf course or in a
golfing community gives you easy access to the course. You can drive or
walk up to the country club and enjoy a game of golf in your own
community.
Amenities: Golfing communities don't just offer a
golf course, but usually have everything else you would associate with
the game. This includes a clubhouse, restaurants, pro shops, pools, hot
tubs, tennis courts, and much more.
Peace and quiet: Golf courses take a lot of acreage,
and because of their location, they are usually away from noise. Golf
course communities are generally located in the suburbs and are serene
and peaceful. You won’t have to worry about loud highways or
construction areas nearby when you have a golf course in your backyard.
Views: One of the best things about living on a golf
course is the spectacular views of all the finely manicured lawns.
Housing: Golf courses with homes on them often have
a wide range of house styles; however, no matter how big or small the
houses are, they are all beautifully designed to look out on the greens
Gated Communities
People often view the main benefit of a gated community to be the
security that it provides. While there are
many other benefits, this is certainly a positive aspect of the
community. Though there is no way to prevent all crime in any community,
a gated community adds an extra level of security by helping to restrict
uninvited visitors from entering. Whatever movies and television may
imply, most home invasions are not well-planned and coordinated heists.
In fact, the majority of home invasions, property theft or vandalism are
crimes of opportunity. Generally, it is someone who simply walked into a
neighborhood looking for the easiest target, like an unlocked door or
window. By restricting such entrance, gated communities ultimately make
living safer for the homeowner. And while not a criminal activity,
though you may wish it were, a gated community means less door-to-door
salesmen ringing your doorbell.
Another benefit to a gated community is less traffic. As
neighborhoods and the areas around them grow, many find that their
formerly peaceful community is transformed into high-traffic short-cuts
between major roadways. What can begin as a neighborhood you feel safe
letting your children rollerblade and bike through, can suddenly feel
unsafe for even adults. Additionally, by limiting non-residents on your
neighborhood roadways, you can find that you worry less about speeders
as residents have a vested interest in driving safely through their
neighborhood. Also, less traffic means less noise, pollution and less
need for road repairs.
Gated communities are also able to invest more into neighborhood
amenities like pools, clubhouses and walking trails. While a non-gated
community is often limited to providing amenities that can be cheaply
maintained and secured, since it is harder to limit access to residents,
gated communities find that they can invest more into amenities without
these concerns. You will often find state-of-the-art community centers
with gorgeous poolscapes in gated communities.
Gated communities tend to be more close-knit in spirit. Even while
these neighborhoods enjoy larger home sites, residents often find that
it is easier to know who your neighbors are, and to enjoy a greater
sense of community.
Condominium Communities
Owning
a condominium lets you to enjoy all the benefits of a nice home, with
the added benefits of amenities, enhanced security, increased
affordability and ease of maintenance. Some of the amenities include 24
hour concierge, high-tech security surveillance, recreation and fitness
facilities, plus the convenience of not having to look after a pool,
yard or cut grass.
The advantages of living in a well-maintained, established
condominium association neighborhood are numerous and can make your life
much easier in the long run. Condo owners pay a small fee each month to
ensure that maintenance issues are dealt with by someone else and
problems are solved by subcontractors and vendors who are hired by the
property manager and the condo association board. Residents do not have
to worry about paying for shingling a new roof (in some communities) or
replacing a cracked driveway. Maintenance of common areas is taken care
of by professionals who have been hired to keep everything in good
repair. If something goes wrong or you want something fixed on the
outside of your home, all you have to do is contact the property
manager, and the work will be hired out.
Beach Communities
When it comes to the beach, what’s not to love? Each year, millions
of tourists visit Florida for a beach-
friendly
vacation. The sand between your toes, the wind blowing through your
hair, and of course, the beautiful water in front of you are just some
of the reasons why so many people decide to visit Floridas’ beautiful
beaches. But, many realize that vacationing isn’t enough—which is why
beach communities are so popular.
Those looking for terrific weather, gorgeous views, and a variety of
people may find that a beach condo is the perfect choice for them. There
are a variety of benefits that come with living on or near the beach.
Both the gulf and the sand can provide great workout spots. Swimming
is one of the most highly recommended workout routines. The beach can
also be used for running, walking, or playing volleyball and other
sports with friends!
Many people enjoy the relationships they form when living in a
close-knit neighborhood. The beach community is one of the best
communities for meeting new people and making new friends. The relaxed
atmosphere is perfect for spending time together.
